This Villa, perched on a hilltop above olive groves and vineyards, is emblematic of the relaxed, rural way of life that defines Tuscany. The ageless splendor of the gardens, secluded nooks, and panoramic vistas is apparent at first glance. The villa’s spacious, well appointed rooms provide as a perfect setting for a quiet retreat close to nature. A relaxing dip in the natural swimming pool is a great opportunity to feel the sustainability spirit while still enjoying the benefits of water’s luxurious qualities. As many as 18 guests can be accommodated in the villa’s various twin, queen, and king-sized beds.

The house, which was constructed in the nineteenth century as a private residence for bishop Volpi of Lucca, now serves as the hub of an organic agricultural estate from where guests can sample the estate’s extra virgin olive oil, red wine, and various locally grown fruits and vegetables.

Views of the Apennines, hills, and the plain of Lucca can be seen from every angle of the lovely rooms, which include exposed wooden beams and dark terracotta ceilings. They just refurbished it with great elegance, so the old world charm has been preserved. The ancient chapel now serves as a beautiful fitness center, ideal for yoga and Pilates classes.

Expansive grounds encompass the home and provide a variety of settings for al fresco meals and lounging, as well as breathtaking vistas and secluded nooks nestled among century-old trees. Enjoy the stunning sunsets over the Tuscan hills from the seclusion of the pool.
