Syros Island is the capital of Cyclades islands’ complex. Ermoupolis is home to several annual festivals that showcase the island’s cultural heritage and attract visitors from worldwide. These include the International Classical Music Festival of the Cyclades, the International Animation Festival, and the Ermoupoleia Cultural Festival, among others.

Great examples of neoclassical architecture, largely based on western models from the 19th century, may be seen in this elegant town. The Town Hall, the Customs, and the Apollon theater are just some of them.
