This 200m2 villa is the evidence that there is elegance to be found in simple design. The natural environment as well as the unspoiled natural beauty of the Cretan terrain served as a source of motivation for the people who worked on this fresh new project. The proximity of the house to the sea, the sensation of breathing in salty air, and the earthy and warm aromas of the local fragrant plants, all come together to create a perfect mix with the architectural structure of the buildings. The delicate textiles and the beautiful custom ceramics in the property are just two examples of the meticulous attention to detail that has poured into the design of these villas. The final outcome is the development of a location that has genuine personality and imparts an impression of being unaffected by the progress of time.
In consideration of the traveling nature of our visitors, we designed a setting that invigorates our senses and invites us to indulge in one-of-a-kind moments of mindfulness and full tranquility within the context of an authentically traditional environment. A location where we may familiarize ourselves with the natural environment while yet having the comforts of home.
The days that we spend here define what it is to live an inspired life and encourage us to experience the warmth of the sun, listen to the waves smashing on the coast, taste the genuine Cretan delicacies, and make memories that will last for a lifetime.
Moving from the outside to the interior spaces, the notion of indoor-outdoor living is translated into a design with enormous sliding doors that link the inside with the environment and provide the illusion of living in nature.
The interior is characterized by a palette of calming colors, and it has natural furniture, design, and distinctive art pieces such as pottery items that preserve the area feeling both contemporary and inviting. The inside of each home displays scrupulous attention to every detail; there are also a few understated creative elements placed throughout, and the carefully selected furniture contributes to an atmosphere of easy elegance. Each villa has a bright and airy living area that is open to the rest of the space, which makes for a smooth connection with the kitchen that is fully furnished.
This residence has two master bedrooms and one independent guest room, all of which offer breathtaking views of the surrounding environment. These rooms, which were designed in accordance with the principles of the Japanese philosophical tradition, feature a combination of organic fabrics, cotton, and linen on the bed and the curtains, thus attempting to establish a private and relaxed temporary shelter. The use of wooden furniture, concrete ceilings, and a contrast of neutral gray, sand, and ivory tones contribute to an increased feeling of peace and relaxation in the space. The bathrooms include a consistent use of natural materials and a palette of calming tones. These bathrooms also have built-in bathtubs and luxury rainfall showers, all of which contribute to the captivating atmosphere of the interiors. The total vacation experience is brought to a satisfying conclusion with the addition of a private separate spa area with a hot tub, in which guests may treat themselves, rejuvenate, and rest.
